Step Aside Chanel, Make Way For Jo Malone

I'm one of those people who really appreciate an aesthetically pleasing brand, because it shows how much time, effort is put in to the finished products. For me, Jo Malone 100% epitomises that. Let me introduce you to my new signature scent.
I have been drawn to Jo Malone for years but there was never a store close enough to my home for me to visit, and I really wanted to experience Jo Malone first hand as opposed to going by whats popular and ordering online. It wasn't until I recently began working in London that much to my delight there was a Jo Malone around every corner! I'v been lusting over this particular perfume for a few months now, but with its pretty hefty price tag, I kind of accepted it will just have to remain in my dreams. The lucky girl that I am, the better half of me bought it for me for Christmas and I am truly in love. (We had Christmas day early)

From its beautiful bottle, design and shape to the magical warm, wintery comforting fragrance, I just can't get enough. It's quite different for me as I usually gravitate towards a fruity fragrance- my other favourites are Coco mademoiselle, Chanel Chance (the green one) and the original Marc Jacobs Daisy. I would definitely say that the warmth of the ingredients in this perfume definitely make for a winter fragrance, I personally think it would be too heavy for the summer. But thats no problem because I'm feeling either Jo Malone's blackberry and bay, pomegranate noir or peony and blush suede for the warmer months!

I'm going to stop babbling and just hit you up with Jo's description of the perfume because lets face it, she's the expert and she couldn't have got it more spot on. She says:

Precious oud, reframed. The mysterious, smoky character of this revered wood, central to Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, radiates with the clarity of crisp bergamot and an orange granite accord. Hypnotic. Alluring.

Need I say more except that if you are still looking for Christmas gifts either for someone special, or even for yourself.. mm hmmm you hear me.
