Behind The Scenes: Grazia Magazine Shoot

Since working in London, I have had some really fun opportunities to meet new people, work at different events, shoots and pop-ups, and it's really given me such good experience and insight into the make-up industry. A few weeks back, the company I work for were asked to provide the hair and makeup for a shoot with fellow blogger Ella Gregory, from Cocos Tea Party for the Grazia Live shop.
I was asked to be the makeup artist, and my friend Tonia was on hair. I was so excited as it was my second shoot with a top British consumer magazine since I started working in London as a makeup artist, but this time the shoot was on location as opposed to being in the comfort of our Covent Garden beauty bar. Two of my favourite magazines are Cosmopolitan, which I first shot with, you can see the article here, and Grazia, so you can imagine how flattered and excited I was to get to work with both magazines.

We arrived at the shoot and got started on hair and makeup almost immediately. I had a chat with Ella to see what sort of makeup she wanted to wear and would feel comfortable in. We decided on a bronze eye and a warm coral lip with lashings of mascara. I used a range of products from Laura Mercier, Jouer, Eyeko, and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Tonia went with a loose beachy curl, which she achieved with the new GHD curve tongs.

All in all the shoot was really fun. It was great to experience being a makeup artist on a magazine shoot, and get to watch how everything unfolded. Ella was an absolute natural in front of the camera and looked absolutely amazing! To see some behind the scenes pictures of the shoot of both myself, Tonia, and Ella in action then click here.
