Preparing My S/S 2015 Makeup Bag

It is now officially spring, which means it's that exciting time of year again where we get to rejig the MUJI storage. But, before we are bamboozled with all the new amazing S/S 2015 launches, I thought that in this post I would to tell you about some of my favourite/essential makeup products for the next season that I cannot wait to bring in the summer with, repurchase, or bring back from the shadows as soon as the warmer months start rolling in!
WHAT I'M TAKING WITH ME
NARS copacabana highlighter, £23
A gorgeous dewy illuminator with a pearlescent finish. I like to mix it in with my foundation, or apply  it onto the areas of my face I want to highlight such as the high points of my cheeks, down the centre of my nose, the inner corners of my eyes, my cupids bow and a light amount underneath the arch of my brow.

MAC Lady Danger, £15.50
This is one of my favourite bold summer lipsticks. A bright matte orangey red colour that has such amazing lasting power. It doesn't move around or fade quickly like other bright colours can. It's a real show stopper.

MAC Blusher in 'Dainty' £21 and 'Style' £18
I love me some blusher in the summer, it really helps to give your skin a gorgeous natural glow. My favourite blush colour to wear is a peachy orange colour, and 'style' by MAC is perfect. It has a little shimmer in it to give that mineralised effect that leaves you looking really radiant. You also get the same effect with 'Dainty' which is a gorgeous light pink that gives your skin a gorgeous light flush of colour.

MAC Face and Body Foundation, £21.50
Albeit I need to pick up a new one, as the one I have is a little dark for me, I really love this foundation. It is so dewy and has amazing lasting power. You can wear it quite light on the skin, or you can build it up to be more full coverage by blending it a little on the back of your hand until it becomes thicker in consistency. It's a really dewy skin foundation and I am yet to find another foundation similar to this!

Laura Mercier Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, £34
I love this product because it gives you a really radiant glow, and I feel like it has some sort of pearly particles in it which I really love in a base because it helps achieve a natural dewy complexion. It's more full coverage than a tinted moisturiser but really light on the skin too. I love the way it looks and feels too.

Dior Star Foundation, £32
I'm not sure if you can tell from this post yet or not that I am a real skin person. The way my skin looks and feels is really important to me, especially in the summer! There are so many great foundations and tinted moisturisers and I love trying new ones. DIOR Star foundation is a recent revelation of mine, and I am already on my second bottle. I have absolutely used this foundation to death, again it is really light on the skin and dewy, but gives a buildable medium coverage. It smells incredible and I love that! I think it is important still to have a medium coverage foundation for Spring/Summer and this one is perfect. I can't get enough of it!

THE REPURCHASES
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel. £32, here
I have a full blog post here if you want to have a more in-depth read about it, but here this. A cream bronzer, with a subtle sheen to give you that gorgeous lit from within/spent a week in Bora Bora look.  It blends amazingly well both with synthetic brushes and normal hair bristles-my favourites are the zoeva angled brush and the Real Techniques stippling & buffing brush. This product blends amazingly with both powder and cream products. For an extra splash of gorgeous summer skin, I run this through my crease with a neutral shadow and a pop of orange on the lips. A-m-a-z-i-n-g for fairer skin tones/blondes, but for those who use the darkest of dark bronzers, you may want to top up with something a little stronger.

Chanel Vitalumiere foundation. £36, here.
A beautiful lightweight velvet foundation that just makes you look so blowy and dewy and full of life. It's such a gorgeous luminescent, moisturising medium coverage but light feeling foundation. It's in a pump bottle which is always handy and smells like summer. What more could you want?

NARS Sheer Glow, £31
My favourite lightweight yet full coverage, luminous, dewy and velvety smooth foundation for those hot summer nights. See a full detailed post on this here.

Chanel Eyebrow pencil, £19
My favourite eye brow pencil by a mile. Glides on lightly with build-ability, great for achieving that ombre eyebrow effect with a pencil. With a spooly on the other end it's so handy to carry around with you and to get amazing super fast brows with just one product. It comes with a Chanel sharpener designed specifically for the pencil so you don't have to worry about ruining the pencil with any old sharpener. It also comes in a range of colours but is the only pencil I have found yet (apart from Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz) to be the perfect colour match for me. It especially looks great for the summer with how natural or bold you want to make it. It's a win win!

MAC 'Coral Bliss', £15.50
I discovered this last summer and fell in love with it. I used it up within two months as I used it every day. I try not to buy the same MAC lipstick as soon as I have finished one as I like to try new colours, and lets face it I don't earn the big buck$! But I have really missed this lipstick and can't wait to have it back in my collection for the spring and summer. A gorgeous peachy, coraly, orangey combination of pure bliss. It's basically summer in a lipstick.

BRINGING BACK FROM THE SHADOWS
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, £8.99
An old favourite of mine that has been stashed away since last summer, as sadly the colder months meant that my tan diminished and I no longer could maintain a skin colour worthy of the shade I had in this foundation. A gorgeous medium-buildable coverage foundation with plenty of radiance, a gorgeous scent, a gorgeous bottle and pump, amazing longevity and just all over amazingness. I can't describe how much I love this product. If anything, I always say that if you weren't too know otherwise, you would think this product is of high-end calibre. Total confidence in this amazing foundation.

Tanya Burr Picnic in the Park, £6.99
I say bringing back from the shadows, I have dusted it off a few times, but it has been about 6 months since I bought it and as it says on the label, 6 months is all it has. I absolutely loved this product when I first bought it and will definitely be buying into her range more throughout the summer months, especially with so many pretty colours to try and test! Such competitive prices for great quality lip glosses. A great colour pay off, soft and easy to use applicator and safe packaging- which is a must have for hot summer handbags. You don't want that lipgloss bursting in your Louis! At least if it did it would smell of strawberries. MM.

Millie Mackintosh Mayfair Lash, £8.99
I have really small eyes, and don't own a lot of lid space and so picking lashes that look nice on me is a tricky one. I love the full fluttery look of the soho lash, but the Mayfair lashes were the ones for me. I still would love to try all the rest of the lashes from her range, but I think considering the Mayfair's look quite big and bold on me, my best bet is to steer clear of the more fuller ones of the collection. The best quality lashes I have ever worn. A really flexible and fine vein, making them so ridiculously easy and malleable to put on. The glue was top notch, much nicer than the duo adhesive by MAC in my personal opinion and the quality of the lashes are just second to none! She's done an amazing job on these lashes and I know they will look gorgeous with great skin and a warm glow this spring/summer 15.
